The Studio

The studio is dominated
by Julie's large worktable on which sits a glittering
array of beads, threads and tools. Surrounding it are
beads and other jewellery making materials for sale, a
gorgeous display of some of her jewellery and a
wonderful assortment of hand made Venetian masks,
Diochroic glass pendants by Bev O'Brien, silk scarves,
silk brocades and much, much more.

Julie
also runs workshops from her studio, taking up to six
people at any one time. Occasionally she will bring in
a guest tutor who will teach bead weaving and pearl
jewellery classes. She has also found that jewellery
making is not just a girl thing - her two sons enjoy
making pieces too.

If you
are having a piece of jewellery made for someone and
want that extra special finishing touch - what better
than a hand painted box by Kim Hemmings, and an original
card by Lyn Newton (www.foxybiddy.com)
to accompany it. Some of their works are always on
display in Jules Beads, along with many other artists
such as Clare Harding-Jones, Rachel Pereira, Paul R P
Smith (www.Paul-R-P-Smith-music.co.uk)
and Dan Goodfellow. Then there is Shamanic artwork by
Julia Sparkes and more beautiful jewellery by fellow
designer Dawn Woodward. |
